The snaps that we use are one-directional snaps, meaning that they will only snap on and snap off in one direction. If you look at the photos below of the female piece, you will see a small “lip” on the bottom of the snap. You will also see a small rim on the male piece. The male piece must be angled behind the female bottom lip to allow the lip to latch onto the male rim.
