Thumb break or no thumb break?
Each IWB or OWB leather holster can be made with a retention strap or as we call it a thumb break. The thumb break is a piece of leather that extends from the front to the back of your holster and snaps in place to keep your firearm secure. If you are looking for an extra level of security a thumb break is the perfect addition for your holster.
Carrying Appendix Or On The hip?
All of our inside the waistband holsters can be worn appendix or on your hip. A few factors will come into play when you are deciding on an IWB leather holster. Depending on the size of your firearm, the attachments, and overall size of the holster.
If you have a small firearm, like the Wilson Combat SFX9 3.25", the Urban Holster may be the perfect IWB holster to carry appendix. If you have a full size firearm, like the Wilson Combat SFX9 5", then the MVP Holster may carry better on your hip than appendix.
