It’s lightweight, small, and packs some serious firepower into a tiny package. In fact, the SIG P365 has one of the highest capacities of any subcompact handgun on the market today (with a full-size magazine). And SIG’s visionary engineering has made the P365 undisputedly the most modular handgun in its class.

Okay, so we’ve taken a look at both the Kimber R7 Mako and the SIG P365. Now, let’s compare the two options head-to-head.

Firepower

Both the Kimber R7 Mako and the SIG P365 are fairly even in terms of firepower. They both fire the 9x19mm Parabellum round, one of the most ubiquitous pistol cartridges today.

However, the SIG P365 does have a slight edge in this category. SIG makes full-sized magazines for the P365, which affords a shooter a capacity of 15 rounds. That’s definitely bigger than the max of 13 rounds you can fit in a Kimber R7 Mako. However, there is a drawback, though. The bigger magazine definitely makes the P365 less concealable.

Concealment

Here’s another category where both of these guns are fairly evenly-matched. The SIG is slightly smaller and weighs slightly less than the Kimber though, although this difference is pretty negligible in reality.
